The government of Botswana adopted the Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) program in 2009 as an add on prevention strategy for the national HIV/AIDS response. The national goal was to circumcise 80% (385 000) of HIV negative males aged 0-49 by 2016 (National Safe Male Circumcision Strategy 2017-2022).
1. Create demand and mobilize communities for VMMC services in targeted districts (North East, Greater Francistown and Tutume).
2. Involve women in VMMC demand generation.
3. Provide HCT services to 95% of males seeking VMMC services in targeted areas (Tutume, North East & Greater Francistown).
4. Conduct 12 039 VMMC procedures amongst males of ages 15-29 by 2021 (over 3 years-2019-2021).

. If negative proceed to theatre
. Return to clinic or followed on third day for dressing removal
. Return or followed on 7th day for further review

. Outreaches (camping to take services to the people)
. School campaigns (during school breaks)
. House to House (one on one with men)
. Braai sessions (circumcised men encouraged to bring uncircumcised friends)
. Engagement of football teams (to refer players and supporters)
. Mobilization (VMMC education) at work places
. Women and Men Pitsos (engaging them separately and educating them on VMMC)
. Men accessing VMMC services
. Women referring their partners, friends and men in general for VMMC
. Men using condoms consistently
. At least 95% of men receiving HTS services before undergoing VMMC procedures
Attainment of national HIV/AIDS Epidemic control.
